Our research focus is on neuromodulation techniques such as Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), spinal cord stimulation and opioid-free treatment in acute pain in anesthesia and intensive care, as well as in chronic and cancer-related pain conditions.
We combine quantitative (e.g. randomized controlled trials) and qualitative research methods (such as interviews and group discussions), and actively involve patients as partners in our research projects to create, test and implement novel and clinically relevant pain care solutions.
